What do you pray for on the Kumano Kodo?

Since ancient times, many people, regardless of age, gender, or social status , have walked the Kumano Kodo trail, offering their own prayers .

The Kumano Kodo was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004 as "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range." Its beautiful roads continue to attract many people, fostering a long history of tradition and a rich natural and cultural heritage.

Excellent access to the Kumano Kodo and Nakahechi trails

The main route of the Kumano Kodo Nakahechi is a three-day, two-night course that starts from Takijiri, passes through Takahara and Chikatsuyu, and heads towards Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine.

Taking advantage of its excellent accessibility, just a 5-minute drive to Takijiri and a 15-minute drive to Takahara and Chikatsuyu , our lodging is the perfect base for walking the Kumano Kodo trail.
